Ronaldo Nazario names real reason behind his bizzare 2002 haircut: ‘I apologise to all mothers’
One of the greatest players to ever grace the game, Ronaldo Nazario is also well-remembered by fans for having one of the most famous haircuts of all time.
The legendary striker rocked a unique hairstyle back during the 2002 World Cup when he shaved his head apart from one sole patch at the front of his head.
Per Football Espana, he explained: “I saw my teammates and asked, ‘Do you like it?’ They said, ‘No, it’s horrible! Cut this off!’ But the journalists saw my haircut and forgot about the injury [I suffered before the game].
“I apologise to all mothers who saw their kids make the same haircut.”
Using a hairstyle to avoid talking about injuries and setting a worldwide trend as a result – now that’s Ronaldo for you!
