Reports from northern Togo indicate that there were terrorist attacks in the early hours of 16th June, 2022, in Gnoaga and Goloungousi cantons of northern Togo(!)

There were no reported casualties suffered by the Togolese(!)

Following fatal May 11 terrorists attacks in the Dapango area of the Savannah Region of Togo, the Government of Togo on 14th June, 2022, declared a State of Security Emergency in the Savanah Region(!)

Sources close to the Togolese Government say, the State of Security Emergency aims to give the Togolese Military the flexibility to counter, deter and prevent jihadist inflitration and attacks in the country(!)
