Hon. Linda Akweley Ocloo together with Mrs. Veronica Teiko Tawiah, a National Service personnel at Akuapem South Health Directorate, today organized a program to educate the girl child on personal hygiene for some selected schools in the Shai-Osudoku Constituency.
According to the member of Parliament, she took this initiative to support and help the girl child to know how to take care of themselves during and after menstruation.
She distributed sanitary pads to the girls and also appealed to parents to keep an eye on their children by providing them with their basic needs to avoid being deceived by men which leads to teenage pregnancy.
Mrs. Veronica Teiko Tawiah in her speech appealed to individuals to support her initiative so she can continue to educate the girls in the years ahead.
